b16 oil spilling
Edit By:Care Cars
Q:my friends just got a 88crx with a jdm b16 swap and we all took it apart and replaced the gaskets and everything because it wasnt running i dunno the details i just helped him replace stuff
but now when he starts it up it spews out oil like crazy from the oil cooler area
basically he lost like almost 4 quarts of oil in about 2 minutes lol
we think it might be the o-ring from the oil cooler
anybody know where he can get one? since honda doesnt supply them cuzz its a jdm motor
lemme know
thanks

A:Explain to me why the O-ring itself HAS to be JDM? Which B16 (there were a few)does your friend have?
A:mmm i dont know exactly
it was off a civic
b16a i think- if thats what ur looking for
well it was the o ring to the oil cooler or sumething
and usdm motors dont have oil coolers
so...we need to find an O ring replacement
if only honda carried jdm stuff haha
and i dont think he wants to have an o ring shipped from japan..cuzz it cost a lot
i hope im not making a total fool of myself hahaha
ill give him my forum info n have him post stuff cuzz i dont know much about wats wrong with it

A:I believe they make O-rings over here do they not? Why don't you just go get yourself one of those universal O-ring kits that have all different sizes in them. It doesn't matter what kind of O-ring you have, as long as its the proper size.
