Q:Sorry I have to give some background first:
On Christmas Eve, one of my front tires was completely flat so I had to put on my spare. I was waiting on my new tires to get here so I had to drive on it for a while. Well, coming through one of the backroads the other night, I came around a corner and hit a massive pothole. Yep, blew out my spare and bent the rim, lol. Anywho, my trusty tire dealer was able to bend the rim back out and I put a used tire on the front until my new ones get here.

Now to my problem....since I hit the pothole, evertime I turn it sounds like a creaky door (similar to the noise your boxsprings on your old mattress make when you toss and turn at night or do other things, ahem...). I noticed it the other night while sitting in traffic and then again tonight while waiting on my sammich from Arby's. Now the problem may exist in regular driving too, but I usually can't tell since my radio is on and the heat is on, etc. So, my question, do you think I blew out my shock on that side or is it something else? I haven't had a chance to get it looked at yet, not even by my trusty tire guy as I had no tire to take the car down there with since I blew both in 2 days, lol. Ideas?
A:Shock is possible, but you said your riding on the rim that was straightend? Thats could be the problem as well, the tire wont track right and will make the noise cause of the rubber rubbing on the road, but then again that wouldnt sound right just sitting in traffic but neither would a blown strut, hmm is the noice being made at a dead stop as well or only when rolling?
A:No the bent rim was my spare tire, not my original wheels so I really didn't care as much if they couldn't fix it.
I only notice the sound when turning nothing when I'm just sitting at a dead stop. LOL, it sounds like it needs some grease or something, it's the oddest sound I've ever heard and it's only coming from that wheel. You think a tire mechanic would be better than a regular mechanic to have it looked it?
A:Ok, I asked a mechanic and he thinks its the bushings. I've gotten used to the sound by now, but how bad is it on my suspension to leave this unfixed? If I do get it fixed, what am I looking at as far as labor costs?
A:make sure you don't have a dust shield bent and just barely contacting the rotor.... could be a simple problem...
