Tips And Advices - make a simple desk for your car

Edit By:Care Cars
First, you'll need to figure out the dimensions of your desk. I recommend cutting a piece of cardboard into a 24" x 24" square. Purchase a portable file box, and place it in the passenger seat as close to the armrest as it will go. Lay the cardboard square over the file box and the armrest. Line the cardboard up even with the left side of the armrest. Mark where the file box will fit, and set your desired length and width. Square the lines and cut the cardboard to make a template.

span> Now that you have a template, lay it out on the plywood square you purchased at the local home center, and trace it.

span> Next, fire up the circular saw and make your cuts. Sand the edges with sandpaper, or better yet, a palm sander if you have one. If you are so inclined and have the tools, you can even ease the edges with a router.

Now that you have the desk top cut, lay it on the arm rest, and secure it with two bungee cords.

Fill the file box with your necessary paperwork and documents, and you're good to go. Now you have a solid writing space, laptop holder, etc. It should help you stay more organized and improve your productivity!
