Tips And Advices - Play a Co-Op Game of Gears of War

Edit By:Care Cars
Select a new campaign, split-screen if you’re going to be playing with two controllers and one console.

Select Live co-op if you’re going to be playing with a friend over Live. If you don’t know anyone but still want to play over Live, search for someone else playing Gears of War and invite them to play.

Use your headset if you’ve got it. This will greatly facilitate attack and defense coordination. Of course, it’s a bit excessive if you’re sitting right next to your second player.

Play the game as you would normally. All the normal rules still apply, just realize that you and your buddy will not always be side by side. Remember how in the normal campaign there were times when you and Dom split up? The same thing will happen here; the second player will sometimes have to go the other way with either Baird or Cole.

Swap ammo or weapons if you need to. As in multiplayer mode, human players can swap weapons or give ammo if needed. This can be handy, especially since you’ve now got two human players competing for weapons and ammo.

Take advantage of your fellow player’s knowledge. If you’re having trouble with a particular section, or if you don’t know where the COG tags are, ask. Chances are good your buddy will have some idea and if not, at least there are two of you to work on the problem.
