Remove a Car Alarm

Edit By:Care Cars
Make sure the car is turned off so you can remove the car alarm safely without injuring yourself. Turn the ignition off and get your car manual.

Identify the alarm unit and follow all of the wires that are connected to it. Make sure that you use gloves of some sort to protect your hands. Be careful at all times.

Pull all the wires to one side but do not disconnect any of them. Identify the wires that lead to the dash control buttons, the led lamps and the alarm switches.

Cut the wires from the alarm; be careful not to rush through it. Usually you will only have to make two cuts through the wires before you are able to start the car without the alarm going off.

Remove the car alarm from the car slowly and carefully and make sure you have something to put it in. Run the car after this and tie up all wires that are loose.
